Juxtapoz Magazine

There is a 4 column grid system used in this article.  The photography on the left hand page is bleeding off the page, therefore there is a bleed on this dps.  There is a strong use of white space which I think is a good thing as you arent overwhelmed with a big block of type.  The top margin is the smallest, the bottom margin is the largest.
The body copy is all left aligned except for the first column which is right aligned.  This is to distinguish the first column from the main body of text.  I think that the body copy needs some tweaking as there are widows at the bottom of two of the paragraphs.
The page furniture on this article is in the top left corner of the left hand page.  It is positioned at a 90 degree angle and is parallel with the outside margin.  The page furniture they use it the name of the magazine and the page number.
The header is in the top left corner and it rotated to a 90 degree angle.  It is aligned with the magazine name and the page number.  It has a much greater point size than the rest of the type and uses two different colours- black and blue.  The use of colour is to make it stand out more to the reader, their eye is instantly attracted towards the colour and the bigger point size.  The subheader is the first paragraph at the bottom of the page.  It is set apart from the main body of text by changing the way the paragraph is aligned and by increasing the point size of the type face.
There is a picture caption in this article.  It is situated in the fourth column along and is in the centre of the column.  Like the body copy, the caption is left aligned.  The first line, the title, is made bold to make it stand out more.  Furthermore, the leading has been increased between the first three lines, making it more noticeable and legible.

There is a 4 column grid system used in this article.  The photography on the left hand page a collection of 7 cut out photos, one per paragraph.  There is no bleed on this dps.  There is a good use of white space but there is also a lot of type.  The top margin is the smallest, the bottom margin is the largest.
The body copy is all left aligned.  I like how anumbers 1-7 are placed behind the subheaders at the top of each paragraph and are in a pale colour as to not interfer with the legibility of the body copy.
The page furniture on this spread is in the top left corner of the left hand page.  It is positioned at a 90 degree angle and is parallel with the outside margin.  The page furniture they have use it the name of the magazine and the page number.
The header is in the top left corner and it rotated to a 90 degree angle.  It is aligned with the magazine name and the page number.  It has a much greater point size than the rest of the type.  The subheaders are at the top of each paragraph.  The first line is a bigger point size and in bold.  The second line is the same point size as the main body but is in bold and the remaining lines are the same as the body copy.
