Even though this is just an internet find, I included that cos I love the cleanliness of the spread. Everything aligns nicely and the colours flow really well.
There is a 3 column grid system used in this article. The photography on the right hand page is bleeding off the page, therefore there is no bleed on this dps. Again, there is a good use of white space. This is good because it makes the 3 columns of type look less daunting. The margin along the bottom is quite small and the outside margins are significantly bigger.
The body copy is all left aligned and in three almost identical looking blocks of type. These blocks are perfectly aligned with the header.
The page furniture on this spread is situated at the bottom outside corners of each page. They do not use page numbers, they only include the title of the magazine.
The header on this spread bleeds off the page. Im not too sure whether or not I like the typeface used on the word self. I don’t think it goes with the word obsession and I don’t particularly like how the dot on the i in obsession fits between the E and the L in self. Possibly it would look better if there was no dot on the i. I don’t think there is a subheader in this dps.
