Glamour Spread

I quickly looked at this spread because I thought the way the typography used was interesting.
The header on this spread is on an angle and so is the subheader.  Together they seem to point towards the girl in the photo.  Furthermore, the subheader points downwards so could be directing the reader to read the body copy below it.  The header and subheader are both aligned with the text boxes below.  The photo of the woman in the spread is looking towards the article.  This helps to direct the reader to look towards and read the article.  The photography fully bleeds off the page.
The body copy is all left aligned and the two columns are quite short.  The typeface they have chosen is a serif, roman face which is easily read when using a smaller point size as well as when using a larger point size such as the size used in the subheader.
There is a drop cap which spans 8 lines.  This is quite large and it a cut out letter inside a block of solid colour.  The letter is on an angle and is aligned with the subheader.
The page furniture is all situated in the top right corner of the dps.  It contains the magazine name, the article title and this specific feature title.  There are no page numbers.  I strongly dislike these features of this magazine and even more so on this spread.  The info on the top right totally interferes with the layout and just looks awful.  And the red box of 'previous winners' at the bottom of the body copy again just interferes and looks ridiculous.
This spread uses a two column grid system, left aligned.  The margins around the outside appear to all be of equal width.
